In 2006, Women on the Job celebrated 25 Years of achieving women’s equality in the workplace.  Our 25th Anniversary Gala Celebration was a special evening commemorating WOJ and a quarter of a century of education and advocacy work for women’s workplace equality.  Women on the Job recognized the accomplishments of Honorees Diane Cohen, Executive Director of LI Fund for Women & Girls, Judith Eisen, Esq., Managing Partner, Garfunkel, Wild & Travis, P.C., Ana-Maria Hurtado, 1st Deputy Commissioner, Town of Hempstead, Marci Skeahan, Chief Operating Officer, T. Weiss Realty Corp., and Suzy Sonenberg, Executive Director of LI Community Foundation. These outstanding women set an example through their work, actions and commitment and help inspire and pave the way for other women.  “This event was a celebration of our mission -- past, present and future” explains Lillian McCormick.  “and was a wonderful success.  We extend our appreciation those of you who support this organization through your commitment and friendship!

Women on the Job also introduced its WAW Scholarship Program through its project entitled "Where Are the Women?" For more information about our 2006 scholarship recipients and "Where Are the Women?", please see the On Board Bootcamp Scholarship link at the top of this page.
